You are a host!

21 September 2015, The Signing Memorandum of Understanding between Badan Narkotika Nasional and PT. Matahari Kahuripan Indonesia was held at our office, Wahid Hasyim street number 188-190, Central Jakarta. I was very surprised when I first heard that PT. Matahari Kahuripan Indonesia will commit to take an active role in eradicating trafficking and usage of narcotics. Why? Because PT. Matahari Kahuripan Indonesia is a private company, not government-owned enterprise. This is my first time joining the company who cares about an issues like this. And It was Great!! And I am proud of!!

A few hours before the event begins, committee asked me to be a host at that event. And of course I accept the offer because this is an opportunity for me to do something for my company. But, when I asked about the detail of ceremonial agenda in this event, the committee just said “wait a minutes, the agenda will be provided by Badan Narkotika Nasional”. Okay…then I realized I need to calm down and just wait. Two hours before the event, finally I got the agenda. I try to read it and prepare my speech as a host. After I am ready, I asked a protocol from BNN to do some rehearsal together. And then we evaluate all the process. A thing that makes me happy is when they said, “That’s very good and we are ready for the events”.

You know what? I miss this situation a lot. It’s been a long time not perform as a host in big event, especially since I had resign from my previous company. When I worked at previous company (PT.IALK) and Kubik Kreasi Sisi Lain, I often perform as a trainer, as a host and as an announcer/presenter. I love standing in front of people and sharing about a thing. Because by doing that activity I feel more useful. And by doing that activity, I have an eager to learn and share. As you know, someone saying that Learning gives knowledge – knowledge gives confidence – confidence gives character- And character creates a person (quotes from Jade).
